Out of favour Liverpool striker Florent Sinama Pongolle states that he is ready to quit Liverpool if Rafa Benitez buys any more strikers. The Frenchman joined Blackburn Rovers on a season long loan because he was bored sitting on the bench for Liverpool and has had a fairly poor season at Ewood park getting 14 appearances yet only scoring 1 goal. His record at Liverpool is also meagre only generating 6 goals in 45 appearences, however many Liverpool scouts recommended the 21 yr old striker after watching him playing for Le Havre and convinced former Liverpool manager Gerard Houllier that he has potential.

Sinama-Pongolle has stated "what happens with Fowler could have an impact. If he [Benitez] signs two new strikers, I won't go back. It would be impossible."

"I'm 21 years old and I need to play, I want to play. It's difficult and frustrating when you are sat on the bench and not involved in a game."
